General Information

Valley County and its member cities would like to invite you to a beautiful Alpine ride. The ride will take you into some of the most magnificent scenery the county has to offer. You will climb three very challenging summits.

  1. Big Creek Summit from the Cascade side.
  2. Warm Lake Summit.
  3. Big Creek Summit from the Warm Lake side.

There will be three ride options:

  1. One Summit 30 miles.
  2. Two Summits 50 miles.
  3. Three Summits 65 miles.

Three summit riders will get a special award for completing the challenge.

There will also be a prize for those that want to be timed on Warm Lake summit.

The overall quickest male and female will get a special prize.

Only the up hill section will be timed.

Guest rides will include:

  1. Greg Randolph 1996 U.S. Olympic Road Cyclist.
  2. Kristin Armstrong 2008 Olympic Gold medalist and World Champion.
  3. Remi McManus 2001 U.S National Road Race Champion.

When: July 31st 8:00 am start three summit riders

9:00 am start two summit riders

10:00 am start one summit riders

Cost:

The fees will have an increasing scale. Sign up now and save.

Riders 1 – 50 $40.00

Riders 51 - 200 $45.00

Riders 201 – 300 $50.00

Riders 301 – 400 $55.00

Riders 401-499 $60.00

Riders 500 and up $65.00

Proceeds will be donated to Charities selected by Valley County.

What do I get: Each rider will receive the following?

  1. Rolling Enclosure
  2. Food and Drink at all rest stops.
  3. Medical support.
  4. Sag and Tech Support
  5. Custom T-Shirt
  6. Custom Award for all Three Summit Finishers
  7. POST RIDE BBQ

Packet pickup: Friday July 30th 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm and Saturday July 31st 6:00 am - 8:00am in Cascade

SAFETY REQUIRMENTS

  1. Ride no more than two abreast and stay right hand lane at all times.
  2. Be alert of other riders
  3. Control speed on descents
  4. Obey all traffic laws.
  5. Be aware of vehicular traffic.
  6. No earphones, ipods,MP3 players ect.
  7. No aerobars and / or child carriers
  8. Must have an ANSI approved Helmet.
  9. Unexpected weather changes can occur so be prepared.

STATE TT COURSE

Change in course notice for 2009 State TT

We have had safety concerns and traffic issues with Swan Falls Road. We are concerned with the traffic count and traffic speed on Swan Falls Road. With riders going in both directions we feel the road is not safe.

We will be using a 20k loop starting and finishing on South Cole.
